With China controlling 95% of battery-grade graphite production, decision-makers need to identify strategies that can mitigate supply risks by scaling projects globally. There is a critical need to understand the tension between costs versus security and assess the potential for innovation in order to inform effective policy.
In the Forum, STEER will present results and solicit feedback on the costs of US graphite production versus China and the impact of supply chain disruptions. Join us as we bring executives and leaders across the entire value chain together in one room to highlight a path that balances the need for low-cost materials with supply chain security.

This Forum is a follow-on to the STEER Roundtable held in September 2024. Click here for the executive summary.

FAQs
Recognizing the recent focus on critical minerals and their importance for national security, we decided it would be most productive to convene industry, policymakers, and government agencies together in Washington, D.C. for this important topic. Note that while we will be in the D.C. area, the actual event location will be in Arlington, VA.
STEER's Forums are invite-only to ensure we assemble a tight-knit group of leaders across the value chain to maximize productivity. If we have missed you or your organization, please contact us and we will see if we can fit you in.
