Surging demand for firm, zero-carbon power is driving a renaissance in nuclear. However, despite significant attention dedicated to reactors (conventional or advanced next-gen), the nuclear fuel supply chain tends to be overlooked. A secure and reliable supply of enriched fuel is critical, yet the industry faces mounting capacity constraints and intensifying geopolitical risks that threaten to undermine this momentum.
This Forum will convene leaders from across the nuclear fuel cycle to examine STEER’s preliminary analysis on the economic competitiveness of domestic production of LEU and HALEU. Join us as we bring together executives and leaders from across the nuclear fuel cycle value chain to chart a strategy for a secure, cost-effective fuel supply.
If you or your organization are interested in attending, please contact Bennett Johnson (Bennett.Johnson@stanford.edu).
STEER's invitation-only Roundtables are designed to convene small groups (~75) of industry executives in one room to formulate the right questions to ask and answer — all towards helping STEER guide “what to build, where to innovate, and how to invest.”
