Our Work

Stanford University's STEER develops a range of research outputs and tools to help industry, investors, and policymakers navigate the economics of emerging energy technologies. From in-depth publications and white papers to software solutions built for real-world decision-making, our work spans the full technology value chain — translating rigorous analysis into actionable insights.

Strategy

Our publications and white papers deliver quantitative, evidence-based analysis on the technologies reshaping the energy landscape — giving decision-makers the clarity to act with confidence.

Solutions

We build software tools that put our analytical frameworks directly in the hands of industry — making complex technology economics accessible, interrogable, and actionable.

Sustainable Systems Lunch Seminar

During university quarters, STEER is supporting the weekly Stanford student-led Sustainable Systems Lunch Seminar (SSLS). The seminar series connects Stanford students and researchers from micro through meso to macro levels of sustainability topics, creating a network of future sustainability leaders who work at different scales of sustainability problems.
